Comprehensive first article inspection and testing procedures

Chemi-Flex utilizes a certified custom first-article inspection validation process for verifying that every new or modified production process produces conforming parts that meet or exceed the manufacturing specifications detailed in technical or engineering drawings.

Chemi-Flex performs the FAI, and the purchaser reviews the report. The FAI process consists of thoroughly testing and inspecting the first part produced or a sample from the first batch of parts. Dimensional characteristics (size, shape, length, tooth, tensile strength, and any unique features) are typically inspected using calibrated tools.

Development of custom test fixtures designed to meet or exceed specifications

Our custom-designed test fixtures are created to varying sizes and specifications in order to fulfill our customer’s exacting needs. We can engineer our customer’s fixture to suit any requirements that will take into consideration future scalability. This is all part of our complete test solution.

Custom fixtures are part of our custom process engineering and executed along even the strictest timelines because we offer this service as part of our end-to-end process creation, which is executed in-house. We specialize in integration and can design your new fixtures into your existing test system and processes.

In-house complete 3D CAD software and CAM (Computer-aided Manufacturing) for belt and mold design.

Our in-house 3D CAD system is a state-of-the-art visual design enhancement that allows for the dimensional viewing of multiple aspects of unique belt & mold designs before they even move to engineering. This provides for on-the-spot augmentation of specific characteristics of any belt pre-manufacturing.

Custom 3D CAD engineering solutions are part of our solutions process and executed along the strictest customer parameters as part of our end-to-end process creation, which is executed in-house. We can create any product profile that you need for the configuration of your timing belt and associated drive gearing. We specialize in absolute integration and can easily design your new belts into your existing processes.

Fully equipped in-house machine shop for your every need, including mold construction

Regarding our end-to-end process solution business model, we have incorporated a full-function in-house machining facility to assist in executing any of our customer's needs, including, but not limited to, mold and belt design executions. Having highly experienced tool and mold makers just steps away from the production floor simplifies and accelerates the necessary tooling adjustments that challenging projects often require.

Our process solutions offer what we call “Quick Response Development Cycling”, which provides the majority of our client's access to the changes they need in a timely fashion so they can continue to receive quick turnaround times on their product's execution. We have an excellent understanding of our customers and their requirements of industry pressure to get the job done yesterday.

Extensive database of material compounds and costs for producing accurate estimates

Being in the timing belt business for over 45 years has allowed us to amass an incredible collection of intrinsic information when it comes to the timing belt industry. We have an extensive database of this info, and it covers all urethane timing belts, silicone timing belts, molded urethane products, and custom belting solutions for specialty applications.

This analytical collection of variable industry information not only creates a unique history of the industry but also allows us the best opportunity to collect and reference data that generates the most accurate estimates relative to our client's particular product executions.

Extensive industry knowledge & understanding of chemical analysis of raw materials and finished goods

As part of our full-service end-to-end process engineering, Chemi-Flex also has on-staff experienced chemical engineers with extensive know-how when it comes to chemical analysis. This part of our process is critical in creating the necessary composite recommendations that will allow our customers to hit their pricing structure while providing them with the compound attributes required to meet and or exceed their requirements.

Raw material selection is the key to the success of every single belt we produce.
